D. J. Dozier

William Henry Dozier
Batted: Right
Threw: Right
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 202 lbs.
Born: September 21, 1965 in Norfolk, VA
Signed: 1990 by the Mets
Departed: traded to the San Diego Padres with Wally Whitehurst and a player to be named later (Raul Casanova) for Tony Fernandez, October 1992

D. J. was the Mets' version of Bo Jackson, without nearly as much fanfare. The "D. J." of course stood for "William Henry." He's pictured here on a 1988 Topps Football card.
