He looked like a Hall of Famer for awhile in the late '70s. He didn't make it to Cooperstown, but he still put together a very solid career, and was the most feared hitter in the National League for several years. There was much excitement surrounding his arrival in New York, but sadly, his career was already in the midst of a steady decline. George is pictured here on a 1993 Ted Williams POGS card.
