Like Raul Casanova and Angel Pagan in the same season, Figgy had started out as a Mets farmhand, departed for a number of years, and was eventually welcomed back into the fold. A Brooklyn native who had been out of the big leagues for over three full seasons when he got the call from the Mets in early 2008, he became something of a fan favorite. He's shown here as a Mets prospect on 1997 Bowman.
