Art came to the big town to take the reins of the Mets in 2003 after a fabulously successful career as the manager of the sparkling Oakland Athletics. Two years later he was gone. The onetime Met skipper is shown here on a 2003 Topps Heritage card, and is pictured below on a 1981 Topps Scratch-Off, along with another Met hero of sorts, Bill Buckner.
