Departed: traded to the Detroit Tigers for Jerry Morales and Phil Mankowski, October 1979
Played third base in the big leagues for many years, achieving fine success with the Pennsylvania teams, which included eight trips to the post-season! In his only season with the Mets, he led the club in runs batted in. Rich is pictured here on his 1969 Topps Pirates Rookies card along with fellow Pittsburgh star Al Oliver. Two more cards are pictured below.
