The Rajah was a coach for the Mets in their inaugural season of 1962. Sadly, that was the last baseball season he would ever see. He was thought by many to be the greatest right-handed hitter who ever lived; while that may or may not be true, he was certainly one of them. At the right is his postcard from the Baseball Hall of Fame, and pictured below is an old Bazooka card as well as his issue in the beautiful 2000 Legends of Baseball postcard set that was produced by the US Postal Service. There is also a Rogers Hornsby pocket knife pictured at the bottom of the page.
