Well, he didn't enjoy an overabundance of success at the big-league level, but … what a great nickname! "Roadblock" Jones. He's shown here on 1961 Topps, or at least he would have been if Topps hadn't committed one of its occasional blunders. This was Sherman's only mainstream baseball card ever produced, and the picture on the front is actually Eddie Fisher! Just to be fair to poor old Roadblock, another card is shown below (from 1991 Nobody Beats the WIZ) that, I suppose, actually has his own picture on it. Following his big-league career, Jones was a member of the Kansas City Police Department, and later a Kansas State Representative and Senator.
