Jon Niese
Jonathon Joseph Niese
Bats: Left
Throws: Left
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 215 lbs.
Born: October 27, 1986 in Lima, OH
Drafted: 7th round 2005 by the Mets
He was born on the day the Mets won the 1986 World Series. Jon became the best pitching prospect the Mets had remaining in the minors after they emptied out the vault to obtain Johan Santana in 2008, and he did not disappoint, riding a strong combined performance for Binghamton and New Orleans all the way to the big club in September. He's shown here with the B-Mets on 2008 Choice.
