Roberto Petagine

Roberto Antonio Petagine Guerra
Batted: Left
Threw: Left
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Born: June 7, 1971 in Nueva Esparita, Venezuela
Signed: 1990 by the Houston Astros
Acquired: traded from the San Diego Padres with Luis Arroyo for Pete Walker and Scott Adair, March 1996
Departed: traded to the Cincinnati Reds for Yuri Sanchez, February 1998

Roberto was a tremendous minor-league hitter; many feel that he didn't get enough of a chance to show what he could do at the major-league level. He ended up playing and starring in Japan, winning a couple of home run titles. Pictured here on 1999 Pacific Crown Collection.
