Don Rose

Donald Gary Rose
Batted: Right
Threw: Right
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 195 lbs.
Born: March 19, 1947 in Covina, CA
Drafted: 11th round 1968 by the Mets
Departed: traded to the California Angels with Francisco Estrada, Nolan Ryan, and Leroy Stanton for Jim Fregosi, December 1971

Don's biggest claim to fame is that he was part of the trade that brought Jim Fregosi to the Mets for (among others) Nolan Ryan. Don only pitched in one game for the Mets, but he did throw two shutout innings, and collected his first major-league strikeout. This card is from 1973 Topps.
