Died: September 29, 1975 in Glendale, CA
Casey won five World Championships in a row, from 1949 to 1953 (his first five years as the skipper of the Yankees). The next season, his club won 103 games but came in second in the AL. Then the Yanks appeared in the World Series for Casey five more times in the next six seasons, winning two of those as well. His ticket to Cooperstown was punched. Casey's 1952 Bowman card is pictured here, and two more cards are pictured below.
