Craig bore the unenviable burden of being the ace of the Mets' staff after the departures of Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, and Jon Matlack. He did well, though, leading the NL in ERA in 1978. Despite constantly battling injuries, he managed to lead the Mets in victories twice and in ERA three times. Craig is shown here on a 1979 Topps Comic, which was actually a gum wrapper. A card celebrating Craig's 1978 ERA championship is shown below.
