In an eight-year career as a backup catcher, Tim accumulated about one full season's worth of at-bats, and hit with good power, totaling 19 home runs. Even more surprising, he was never caught stealing in nine attempts in his career. Now, if he could've done something about that .198 batting average…. He's shown here during his short tenure with the Mets on 1998 Pacific Online Red; he was actually the Mets' Opening Day backstop in '98.
