By the time Frank got to the Mets, he was surviving purely on guile, but when he was a fireballing young pitcher in the mid-'70s, there was none better. The fact that he lasted in the major leagues for almost 15 years after he lost his blazing fastball is a testament to his intelligence and perseverance. A 1987 Coca-Cola Tigers card is pictured here, and below the stats box are pictured a couple of cards that suggest the career that Frank might have had.
