Hisanori Takahashi

After a productive decade with the Yomiuri Giants, Hisanori decided to try his hand at the American game, becoming the second Takahashi to sign with the Mets in two seasons. Quickly became more than just that arcane bit of trivia, though, as he went on to become arguably the best Japanese pitcher the Mets had ever had. A 2008 BBM card is shown here celebrating his best season in Japan.
