Lou played for the Mets briefly in 1989 and 1990, but almost got a chance to be a full-time outfielder for them in 1994. He was one of the best players on the Mets' replacement squad during the players' strike of '94. Originally drafted by the Mets, Lou was a Rule 5 pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in December 1984, and saw almost all of his big-league action the following season. He's shown here on a ProCards minor league card for the Tidewater Tides.
