Called up from Norfolk in August 2006 to replace the disabled Cliff Floyd on the roster, Michael had previously served a decade in the big leagues as a semi-regular outfielder. His first home run for the Mets won a game for them against the Washington Nationals, who had released Michael during Spring Training! He's pictured here when he was just a baby, on 1992 Bowman.
