Tony's most famous New York minute occurred not as a member of the Mets or the Yankees, but as a member of the Baltimore Orioles in the 1996 AL Playoffs. He was the outfielder waiting to catch the fly ball at the fence when a young fan reached out and grabbed the ball from the sky, resulting in a Yankee home run and victory. Later on Tony played for the Yankees briefly, spent some time in Japan, and resurfaced in the big leagues for the Mets in 2002 after a three-year hiatus.
